Harvard UAEM (a chapter of UAEM International) is an interdisciplinary group of students from across Harvard’s campuses interested in promoting access to medicines and biomedical research, particularly that which is developed at universities through federally funded research. This info session / orientation will provide an overview of UAEM’s work related to patent law, regulatory exclusivity, technology licensing and international investment / trade agreements. Participation offers flexible time commitments and opportunities for leadership at the cross-university level, co-authorship of articles and op-eds, funding for conference travel and engagement with university technology transfer officials. UAEM’s mission is guided by its commitment to promoting the right to health and is hosted at HLS by the Advocates for Human Rights. Please write abenedict@jd14.law.
