Please join us for a lunch talk by Alfred de Zayas, JD ’70, the UN Independent expert on the promotion of a democratic and equitable international order, who was appointed in May 2012. From 1981 to 2003, Zavas worked as a lawyer for the UN Division of Human Rights in Geneva, subsequently renamed Centre for Human Rights and Office of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, was Secretary of the UN Human Rights Committee and the Chief of the Petitions Department.
