Please join us at 6:30 for dinner and at 7:00 for a discussion led by Yehoshua Gurtler, a lawyer working at Herzog, Fox & Neeman, Israel’s leading law firm, where he became a partner in 2012. He is religious, and gay, living with his partner in Israel. Yehoshua is very prominent and active in Israel’s LGBT advocacy world. He is a founding member of Shoval (an Orthodox Jewish LGBT advocacy organization) and a member of the Israel Bar Association’s LGBT Rights Committee, among other things. He is a vocal supporter of LGBT rights in Israel (with a particular focus on the Orthodox Jewish world), and has been invited to speak and write on the subject in various forums. He is both an American and an Israeli, with a very in depth understanding of both legal systems.
